Ability to work independently and successfully with limited supervision.

A Valid US or Canadian driver’s license.

A sound grasp and understanding of the recruitment and orientation process.

Four years of experience in customer service, student services, or recruitment.

The location for this position is in Northwest Indiana, specifically Lake County, Indiana, and will require working remotely from a home office. The individual in this role will need to be an outstanding communicator with the ability to engage and build relationships with prospective students and families, high school counselors, community based organizations, and campus partners.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently with limited supervision is imperative for this position. Primary responsibilities include middle and high school outreach, family engagement, college knowledge support programming, and responsibility with program coordination and other special projects. In support of this aim, the position will counsel and assist students, their families and communities throughout middle and high school to help them understand and prepare for the college search and selection process. As the Early Academic Outreach Coordinator, you will focus on outreach efforts aimed at increasing the college-going rate of underrepresented student populations with a special focus on Indiana black students from Indiana.
